OUR HISTORY

SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta is an all-boys Jesuit high school founded by the Society of Jesus on August 19, 1948. Named in honor of the Portuguese missionary and martyr who died in 1693, the school is dedicated to educating future leaders prepared to serve society. Beyond its rich academic tradition, De Britto is renowned among young people for its unique culture—allowing students to have long hair, attend without uniforms, and express eccentric styles responsibly.
